The translation years

I'm Sky Ciantar. For two decades I ran a specialist translation company, helping businesses in fintech, biotech, banking and logistics be understood in over 40 international markets. Translation is not swapping words; it is making sure that what a company means survives the journey into a market that thinks differently. Firms lived or died by whether their expertise was legible where it mattered.

The courtroom years

Alongside it I spent twenty years on defence legal teams as a court interpreter, working with KCs and barristers at the Old Bailey, where an inaccurate word can change an outcome. That room teaches you a discipline nothing else does: every claim must be evidenced, every rendering must be exact, and you never, ever guess. I also hold a law degree.
