About GEO and AI visibility

What is Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)?

GEO is the practice of making your firm visible, accurately described and recommended in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google's AI results. It covers structured data, entity accuracy, citations in the sources AI trusts, quotable content and agent readiness. It is the umbrella term that includes AEO and AI search optimisation. The full plain-English explainer is here.

Why does this matter now?

A growing share of buyers start their search by asking an AI assistant instead of Google, and research shows most senior decision-makers trust the recommendations AI gives them. If AI recommends your competitors, describes you inaccurately, or doesn't know you exist, you lose enquiries you never knew you had. Unlike word of mouth, this is measurable and fixable.

How is this different from SEO?

SEO optimises where you rank in search results. We optimise what AI actually says and who it recommends, and whether AI agents can act on your site. That means structured data, entity accuracy, citations in the sources AI trusts, and content written to be quoted by language models. Related, but a different discipline with different evidence.

What is agent readiness and why should I care?

AI agents now research suppliers on their owner's behalf: reading websites, verifying credentials, comparing fees, booking calls. Agent readiness is whether your website works when the visitor is a machine. We check your llms.txt, schema markup, AI crawler access and machine-readable credentials on every audit, and build them on retainer. The agent readiness section has the detail.

Is the agentic era real or hype?

The infrastructure is real and dated: Lighthouse's agentic-browsing audits, the WebMCP Chrome origin trial from May 2026, llms.txt adoption around 10% of websites and rising. Agent adoption in professional services buying is early. That is the honest picture, and it is exactly why acting now is cheap and acting late is expensive. We will never tell you the sky is falling; we will show you screenshots.

Services and pricing

What is an AI Visibility Audit?

A structured test of what the major AI platforms say when potential clients ask about firms like yours. We run 40+ real buying questions, score your visibility from 0 to 100, benchmark you against named competitors, check your agent readiness, and evidence every claim with dated screenshots.

What does it all cost?

The Snapshot is £195, credited in full against the Audit within 30 days. The AI Visibility Audit is £1,500. AI Visibility Watch is £895 per month and Market Watch is £1,650 per month. The Content Studio is £3,950 per month. Done-For-You AI Visibility is from £4,750 per month with a three-month minimum, then rolling. No 12-month lock-ins, and every price is published on the pricing page so nobody has to book a call to find out.

Is the Snapshot really credited?

Yes, in full, against the Audit when booked within 30 days. The Snapshot exists to show you where you stand; if you go further, it was the first instalment, not an extra cost.

Do you just do audits and reports?

No. The audit is the front door, not the house. Solumari is a done-for-you service: we diagnose, then we fix, then we keep you visible. Monitoring tools tell you the building is on fire; cheap automation platforms publish machine-written content under your firm's name and hope. We do the work, a human stands behind every change, and everything is evidenced.

What is GEO content?

Content engineered to be found, understood and cited by AI engines. It answers the real questions your clients ask, in machine-legible structure with verifiable facts and valid schema, so that when someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity a question in your field, the answer draws on your content and recommends your firm. Ordinary content marketing hopes to be read; GEO content is built to be quoted. The Content Studio page explains it.

Can I buy the Content Studio without an AI Visibility retainer?

Yes. The Content Studio is a standalone service. It pairs naturally with the Watch services, but no retainer is required.

Do I need to rebuild my website?

Almost never. Most fixes are additive: an llms.txt file, structured data, robots.txt corrections, clearer credential statements, form fixes. Days of work, not months.

How we work

Do I get to approve what you publish for me?

Everything. Nothing is ever published under your firm's name without your approval. Retainer and Content Studio clients get their own client portal: log in, see the queue, approve each piece with one click, comment where you want changes, and watch your visibility evidence build. Transparency without meetings.

Who writes the content?

The Studio drafts, a human reviews every word, and it is written in your firm's voice from your expertise (we interview, you approve). You never publish anything you haven't signed off, and your sign-off is one click in your portal.

What if AI already rates us well?

Then we'll tell you, show you the evidence, and suggest monitoring rather than fixing. We never manufacture a problem. Every score we report is real, dated and reproducible.

Why the three-month minimum on retainers?

Because GEO compounds and fair evidence takes three months to show. After that everything rolls monthly: you stay because it works, not because a contract says so. Longer terms earn a rate lock and a bonus, and are never required. The industry norm is a 12-month lock-in; we think that tells you something about the industry.

How do I know it's working?

Monthly evidence reports: your visibility scores re-tested, screenshots of what changed, the league table against your competitors, and for content clients the AI-citation report showing exactly which pieces the engines picked up. Evidence, not adjectives.

Small firm. Does this really apply to us?

Small firms benefit most. AI engines and agents do not care about brand size; they care about legible, verifiable, comparable information. A 6-partner firm with clean machine-readable signals can outrank a national name that has none. This is the rare moment where the playing field tilts toward the prepared rather than the big.
